Privacy Policy

Apollo is a local-first desktop app. It runs on your own machine and talks to your WordPress sites directly, so the data you manage — posts, media, users, and your site credentials — stays with you. This policy explains what little we collect and why.
Your site data stays on your machine
Apollo connects to your WordPress sites from your computer. Your content and the actions you take are not sent to us or routed through a server we control.
Site connection secrets (your WordPress Application Passwords) are stored in your operating system's keychain, never in plain text and never on our servers.
Diagnostics (beta only, opt-out)
The beta build can send anonymous diagnostics — crash, error, and basic usage events — to help us fix problems. It is on by default in beta, shown on first run, and can be turned off any time in Settings. The stable build collects nothing.
Diagnostics carry a random per-install identifier, never your account, and messages are scrubbed of URLs and credentials before they are sent. We never collect your managed-site URLs or secrets.
This website
This marketing site stores a small language preference in your browser and reads an approximate country signal (from your connection or timezone) to show the right pricing. It does not build an advertising profile of you.
Cookies & analytics
We keep cookies to a minimum. The site sets a single functional cookie — a short country code — so it can show the right pricing and language for your region; it lasts about a month and is never used to track or advertise to you. Your language choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a cookie.
To see how the site is doing we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are privacy-friendly and cookieless: they record anonymous page views and performance timings without cookies or a persistent identifier, and never build a profile of you.
Your account
If you create an Apollo account, we store your email and basic profile to sign you in and, in the future, to power account-bound services like sync and backups. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
